Electromechanical Relay

Electromechanical device, which functions as a controlled electrical circuit in which a set of one or more contacts that allow other independent open or close electrical circuits is actuated switch.
The great advantage of relays is complete electrical separation between the drive current (the current in the coil of the electromagnet) and circuits controlled by contact, which means that it can handle high voltages or high power with low voltage control.
