Kitchen armored plates consist basically of a cast body inside which three electric heating resistors embedded in an electrically insulating material and good thermal conductor stay. This set is closed and protected with a reinforced lid; block binding allows a secure connection. In the outer zone of the plate a trim ring stays stainless steel allowing proper engagement with the kitchen counter. The heating surface of the plate is protected with a durable lacquer to high temperatures that provides a good resistance to corrosion.
Models incorporating a thermal protector, in operation without heat dissipation, hand cut energy consumption by reducing its temperature. The thermal protector does not work in normal use.
