The heating element inserted between two tinned copper conductors is made of a polyolefin matrix combined with a large amount of carbon particles.
Electric current flows between the two copper wires through the carbon particles. This conductive core increases its emissions of heat when the outside temperature drops, vice versa.
The power absorbed, dissipated as heat, decreases as a function of the temperature to reach thermal equilibrium of autoregulation.
On the self-regulating heating cable properties reacts to temperature variation and supplies, at each point of an established, the thermal energy required. Also, the power consumption is almost zero when you reach a certain temperature, avoiding all the problems of overheating.
Typical applications
• Maintains the temperature of the domestic water system: The hot tap water comes out at the same time opens, to have offset any loss of heat. Prevents the feedback circuit.
• Protection against icing on all exterior pipes.
• Thaw eaves and overhangs.
• Prevents frost in the channels and downspouts.
• Do not allow the fuel freeze, whether liquid or gaseous, inside tanks or circulation circuits.
• Heating surface for anti-ice protection outdoors: Access; garage ramps; porches and stairs.
