In principle suction heaters are also flow heaters, although these are installed in the sump of the tank via a flange connection. They essentially, facilitate direct heating of the tank medium in the immediate vicinity of the extraction point, shortly before the pump. As such, only the extraction quantity is heated and not the entire tank contents. This minimises the energy and operating costs. The heaters are configured for the suction capacity of the pump.
